Tested the new 147 today...awesome

Ahhh got something to blog about...hehe...this morning i went to SDAI to bring my car there for a customer to view...at the same time got to talk to a few sales men that i knew early...the apointment was at 9.30...i got there at 9.15..but as usual the malaysians timing..the guy came at 10.15...lousy fella..dunno how to keep time...so anyway as i was waiting for him, the guys from SDAI asked me to go for a test drive on the new 147 sport edition...and ofcourse i said YES...hehe...filled with excitment i jumped in the car and took it for a spin...it was great!..ofcourse lehhh its an Alfa Romeo..LOL...this model had a flappy paddle gear shift on the steering,if u dont know what that means, its basically two paddle behind the steering wheel that allows u to shift gears by flipping them - or + , like those u see on a F1 car...cool huh?..hehe..so yea had fun with it on some twisty roads around that area and tested the speed on the NKVE..well i onli got it up to 160kph cause there was a police car....but it still felt good...the road holding of the car is great..u really can corners at high speeds, even at 65kph/70kph u still can control the car..it feels solid and and doesnt have much body roll suspesion and springs are abit on the hard side but still confrontable....great car..wish i could buy one...hehe it cost about 160K...nvm can wait for a 2nd one next time...keke...well at the end the buyer liked my car cause it was in a good condition but he didnt really liked the color...he was looking for sliver....after that the guys from SDAI asked me to test out the new 156 too, but i passed on that 1....cause it wasnt the model with the JTS engine...so yea that was my morning..heheh...here's some pics and some extra info on the car..enjoy=)

Malaysian Alfa Romeo distributor Sime Darby Auto Italia Sdn Bhd has unveiled a new limited edition variant of the lovely Alfa Romeo 147 2.0 Selespeed hatchback - the Alfa 147 Edizione Sportivo, or in English, Sports Edition? Changes to the special edition include a customised bodykit comprised of a redesigned front air dam, side skirts, side strip, rear roof spoiler, and a stainless steel exhaust. The car rides on Alfa Romeo ET40 Silver Colour Tristar alloy rims with low profile 215/45 R17TL87W Pirelli Dragon performance tyres. Further enhancing the sporty look are Hotbits HBSC 10-203 Sports Springs, lowering the car by 30mm and enhancing handling and driving dynamics.Auto Italia press release did not say how many units of this special edition will be produced, but general manager Lim Boon Leong says it will be a limited edition run. It comes with a 2-year warranty, free maintenance for three years and two years’ free 24-hour roadside assistance from AAM.Just a recap on the specs, the Alfa 147 Edizione Sportivo is powered by a 2.0-litre 150bhp Twinspark engine, does the 0-100km/h dash in 9.3 seconds, and is specced out pretty well - four airbags, pre-tensioned seat belts, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Electronic Stability Programme, Cruise Control System, Anti Theft Device-Key Code Immobiliser, Parking Obstacle Detection Device and others.
